We are
just an average Australian family consisting of Len, Lynn, Luke, and
Celeste, our animals Misty the cat, Buster the dog and of course Lulu the
Kangaroo. We live in rural Victoria Australia on a small property with
surrounding farmlands and the Baw Baw mountains in the distance overlooking
the magnificent Latrobe Valley. This is one of the most beautiful and scenic
valleys, with a number of surrounding towns making a population of 70,000
people. The Valley is one hour from the snowfields and oceans with 90
miles of continuous sands. It also has many lakes and flowing rivers, beautiful
lush bush and some of the best farm lands in Australia. Situated within 90
minutes of Melbourne, Victoria's capital city. People that live in this
Valley are down to earth and very easy to get on with.
This
is a beautiful area that we live in, a very peaceful place with rolling mountains,
who could ask for more. We have lived in Tanjil South for 24 years both Luke and
Celeste attended Tanjil South Primary School this is a small rural school 5 kms
away from our home they were driven there by car each day to and from. They then
attended Trafalgar High School traveling by bus each day. Luke completed and passed
his VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education) last year. Luke had a rough start in
life as he had open heart surgery the day he was born thank God everything turned
out fine, that was to be a stressful time in our life. Celeste has
completed her VCE in 2003 and is now studying very hard for her business
administration diploma. Celeste also had
a rough start to life she came three months early and only weighed in at 3 pound
again we thanked God for giving us a beautiful little girl. We are very proud of
both our children.
Lynn
was born in Middlesbrough Yorkshire England and came to Australia when she was very
young. She has lived in the Latrobe Valley from the day her family arrived in Australia.
Lynn now works as a Member Service Consultant, she is the bread winner and supports her
family.
Len
was born in a beautiful country township called Yallourn, this town no
longer exists as it was taken over by an open cut coal mine, to further
the supply of coal, for the power industry and the ever expanding
population. Len was very sports minded as a youngster, he played many
sports excelling in Boxing, winning many state fight titles, and even a
silver medal in the Australian titles. Len is a qualified
Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training in Occupational Health and Safety.
He has been engaged by large corporations to show, and train employees, to do specialised tasks
in a safe work manner.
